Basically. People love what they hate and hate what they love all the time. In Shigure's case, he hates me for hurting his friends, being a constant threat to them, and generally introducing things like concern, fear and emotional pain into his life. He likes me for things like my company, honesty, and the fact that he doesn't have to be responsible for me in any way.

On a similar vain, I hate the angel for being literally our opposite, I can't help but want to kill him. But he's still good company and a good friend. It's the same for you, isn't it?

Yeah . . . I wanna kill him . . . but I don't want him to die . . . you know? They're different feelings! It sounds a lot more fucked up with your human than the angel.
